I did NOT feel like running this morning
I rolled out of bed at 5:45 did not want to go out and run. Slowly I tied my shoes and filled my water bottle. Dragging my feet I got myself to the gravel road and started running. mile 1 seemed to drag by, let alone mile 2. let me tell you my mind gave me plenty of reasons why it would be good to stop. even just for a minute. but as I got to the stop sign at the end of my second mile something drove me on, for some reason my legs kept going. As I came to 2.5 I could give myself even more reasons to quite. But then I got to thinking - Why quit? why push my self just to give up at the last 1/2 a mile? what the world was I thinking??? I turned around and started up the hill for the last half mile! I kept thinking
dont quit,
dont stop,
dont give up,
keep going
and then......
I made it! 3 miles! the surge I got for finishing -- It was Amazing! I am SO Glad I finished! As I kept walking to cool down, my thoughts whirled through my mind.
What if I had quit? would I be excited about the accomplishment of pushing through and finishing? --No. I would have been
What if I had quit? would I be excited about the accomplishment of pushing through and finishing? --No. I would have been
Frustrated
Discouraged
and Defeated
So why would we ever quit?-on anything? when the finish line is so close, WHY QUIT? nothing is ever easy, but thats why the end is so worth it!
Spiritually - sometimes we get so tired, and weak in our spiritual journey. theres days when it feels like we cant take another step. but theres no victory with out a fight! In our weakness, is where HIS strength begins. - Dont quit on God
Dont quit. DONT . EVER . EVER . QUIT.

Oh my goodness Koda that is AWESOME!!! Sooo cool that you did a running post - I love it!! I totally can relate to you about no wanting to get up and run... especially at like 5:45 a.m.! Wow that is GREAT!
And amazing encouragement for our spiritual lives too, Koda!
Keep going, girl! Never give up!
Even if you get waylaid every once in awhile, pick back up and keep on going. What a wonderful illustration of the Christian Life!
Devotions - it's easy to get sidetracked, or to just not spend time with the Lord when we don't feel like it, or we're tired. But we always feel so much better when we do!
Going to church - may not feel like it, but we need it!
soulwinning - rarely feel like it, but there's a sweet savor to obedience.
God bless!
