Fifteen Lyrics
Greg Long
I was sitting at the table
As the waitress took our order
In her eyes I knew that something wasn't right
And before I saw it coming
I was caught up in her story
Of the storms that she had weathered in her life
My friend said can we pray for you
She said I think I'd like you to
She walked away, we bowed our heads
But then he turned to me and said
If it takes fifteen times
To hear about Jesus
For someone to believe
Wherever I stand in line
I've got to make a difference
In case it comes down to me
'Cause, I may be the third,
may be the seventh
There may be years in between
but what if I'm fifteen
What if I'm fifteen
Just a chapter in a story
With the ending still unwritten
Do they find the truth of Jesus after all
As I listen for the whispers
And I follow where they lead me
I pray that I'll be faithful to the call
If I'm who I'm supposed to be
I know that God can work through me
I may not understand it now
But I believe somehow
If it takes fifteen times
To hear about Jesus
For someone to believe
Wherever I stand in line
I've got to make a difference
In case it comes down to me
'Cause I may be the third,
may be the seventh
There may be years in between
But what if I'm fifteen
What if I'm fifteen
God I don't want to miss the chances
When you open the door
What may seem so insignificant
You see so much more
If it takes fifteen times
To hear about Jesus
For someone to believe
Wherever I stand in line
I've got to make a difference
In case it comes down to me
'Cause I may be the third,
may be the seventh
There may be years in between
But what if I'm fifteen
What if I'm fifteen
I just can’t explain how God used that song to once again show me how important it is to be sharing the gospel everywhere I go. Do I make a difference every time I stand in line? I just hope it encourages you to make a difference to. We never know the life story of the lady checking us out at the grocery store, so the teenage girl handing us our sack in the drive through. But it it takes 15 times for them to hear about Jesus I pray that you and I would be one of the ones to hand them a track, or stop and share Jesus. What if we are that fifteenth person?? And what if we didn’t bother to share our faith with them??? Is theyre blood going to be on our hands like it says in Ezekiel 33?
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die;
if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way,
that wicked man shall die in his iniquity;
but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it;
if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity;
but thou hast delivered thy soul. (Ezekiel 33:8-9)

Hadn't heard that song before, but it's good. Always a good reminder to follow God's command and share Him with others. Thanks!

Wow Koda that is sooo good!! we were out on the street last Friday preaching (the guys) and singing and people were rolling down the windows and listening...and I was just so moved...that these people are listening to us tell them about Jesus...and it may be the only time they hear about Him. Or maybe they've heard it before, but THAT is the time that makes them believe. So there's just so much we can do to make a difference in people's lives!! Thanks for sharing and GREAT reminder!!
